Rebel Wilson, a Hollywood star originally from Australia, has been in the acting business for quite some time now. In one of the widely watched movie, Pitch Perfect, Rebel Wilson who was cast as Fat Amy stole the show by her funny, confident, and daring character that she brings out in most of her other shows.

Rebel Wilson was born on March 2, 1980, where she jokes she was brought up in the ghetto side of Sydney, Australia. She was raised among her three siblings, Annachi, Ryot, and Liberty by their parents who were beagle breeders. Growing up, Wilson was a shy girl almost to a point of bordering social disorder syndrome until when her mother took her by force to a community acting class.
Further, for her high school studies, Wilson went to the Tara Anglican School for Girls where she completed in 1997 and wanted to pursue Mathematics as a career as she was good in numbers though her heart was mainly in Arts.
It was at this point that, Rebel Wilson decided to do her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of New South Wales where she graduated in 2009.

For this reason, Wilson even pushed herself to participate in debates to improve her confidence while her teacher encouraged her to enter into tournaments that helped her get out of her shell. Better still, the Christian high school that Rebel Wilson attended always encouraged their students to pursue whatever dreams they had, which again built her confidence even more.
Additionally, when Wilson was working at Australia’s Rotary International Youth Ambassador Program in 1997, she got a chance to visit South Africa where she contracted malaria and would hallucinate while winning an Oscar Award.

Rebel Wilson’s success story in acting started way back when she was in Australia where some of the popular TV shows that she took part included Bogan Pride in 2008 and Pizza in 2000. She moved to the United States when she was 30 years old in 2010 and though it was not an easy journey to be a film star, Wilson had an unrelenting spirit, which is what helped her to rise and dominate Hollywood.
Rebel Wilson further attributes uniqueness and being different as factors that made her beat all odds when she started in the Bridesmaids movie in 2010. What’s more, the famous actress launched her own clothing brand in 2015 to cater for the plus-size as she admits that most regular clothing lines do not offer her size that ranges between size 16 or 18.
