One of the natural disasters that Barbara Stokes helped out in the aftermath of was Hurricane Harvey. This hurricane dropped 50 inches of rain in the greater Houston area. 200,000 homes in the area were damaged with half of those being completely lost. GHS of Alabama contracted with FEMA and provided homes across Texas and the other states that were impacted.
In addition to her work, Barbara Stokes often volunteers for nonprofits in the greater Huntsville community. She also has three children.
