In order for a country’s economy to grow strong, industry is crucial. It must be created. And from that point, it must be supported. For the country of Brazil, both industry and economy got a significant shot in the arm on the day that Toyo Setal came into being. Although the Brazilian arm of the business emerged in 2012, its maiden voyage was enacted in 1961, Japan. Created to engineer, procure and construct, Toyo Setal began seeking projects abroad less than five years after its inception, allying itself with more than two dozen Brazilian projects. Then in 1998 a partnership with the Brazilian business entity, Setal Oil and Gas, led to the Brazilian arm of the company.
Today, Toyo Setal Empreendimentos Ltda. continues to engineer, procure, construct and obtain services for industrial projects, as its parent company did. However, the Brazilian company deals specifically with high-end, challenging infrastructure projects, which revolve around the use of chemical, petrochemical, mining, oil, gas, fertilizer, steel and other natural resources. Which is why today, more than ever, the name of the game for Toyo Setal is sustainability. View more on facebook for more information about Toyo-Setal.
Fortunately, the projects conceived by the Brazilian company require innovation and a time period committed to conceptualization and design. After the completion of the design stage, a plan is launched, which is intended to proceed in several stages. Inside the parameters of each stage, it is possible to ameliorate negative impacts to the environment. These impacts would perforce include the loss of natural resources. To better ensure future generations may enjoy the same resources, Toyo Setal deploys interventions that make use of high-tech solutions that mitigate waste and conserve available resources. Moreover, the company casts a wide net in terms of ensuring the least negative impact to natural environments occur, be they inherently wild, or more specifically agricultural.
Animals are relocated, while potentially endangered arboreal life is transplanted. Damaged seedlings are paid for. Waterways are henceforth routinely checked for pollution levels. Meanwhile, unique environments, like marshes, are also routinely examined, as is all transplanted arboreal life and relocated wildlife. Toyo Setal is a joint venture. The two founding companies were Japan’s Toyo Engineering Corporation and Brazil’s Setal Oil and Gas. Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it is owned 50/50 by Toyo and Setal Oil and Gas. It is a company that builds infrastructure for the onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, and mining industries. They currently operate in Brazil with plans to eventually do business across Latin America and Africa.
Their biggest customer is the oil giant Petrobras. Their biggest project to date was building infrastructure for Petrobras in Itaborai, Rio de Janeiro. It was a $1.2 billion project that they completed in mid-2016. They built three facilities. One was a plant that produces 250,000 cubic meters of hydrogen per hour. There are two petrochemical refineries. One of these produces petrochemicals and the other light oils. Petrobras needed these facilities to meet growing demand. Read more reviews at indeed.com
