Kevin Seawright is currently Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Newark Economic Development Corporation. He is also the VP of Finance and Human Capital at Tito Contractors. Prior to that he was the Campaign Manager at KLS Political Services.
Before working for KLS Political Services, he worked as Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the Baltimore City Government. He earned his MBA from Almeda and he is currently working on an additional Masters in executive leadership from Notre Dame.
If his work and educational history isn’t impressive enough, Kevin Seawright was the Met Life recipient of the Bridges to the Future award in 2010 for operational and finance professionals. He has been the member of the advisory board for the Babe Ruth Museum.
Kevin Seawright has also been a member of the American Society for Public Administration, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, and the National Association of Black Accountants. Somehow he has also found the time to be a coach for local youth sports leagues.
Mr. Seawright’s has a formidable combination of skills and abilities. He is a skilled team builder, and he is known for making strong connections with those who work with him and for him, and is able to bridge together networks to ensure that those who are involved in an organization are all working towards a common end goal.
His experience working for the city of Baltimore provided him with the ability to work smoothly with local and state governments when needed. He also a talented financial manager.
He was able to mastermind a new accounting system in Baltimore, which save the department he was working for over one hundred thousand dollars.
