Since being created back in 2000 with the support of his wife Gila, the Milstein Family Foundation has managed to evolve into being a mirrored representation of Adam’s long-time envisioned network of supplemental aid to the Jewish community. As intended by Adam Milstein, the Milstein Family Foundation not only goes above and beyond its means to supply the Israeli-American community with essential physical resources, but the foundation also gears its services towards the mental preparation of the minds of the youth—an execution of purpose that Adam Milstein greatly believes will attribute to the fostering of leadership and prosperity for the future generation.
In terms of providing physical resources, the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation indulges in the provision of medical, financial, and literary resources to members of the Israeli-American community. With medical support, those who are downtrodden by the economics of society and who lack the proper medical attention are able to receive care for their deprived medical needs—a critical provision that helps to lengthen the lives of many. Nonetheless, through the foundation’s provision of financial assistance, members of the Jewish community have the opportunity to apply for funds towards the manifestation of their entrepreneurial and/or community endeavors focused on the advancement and preservation of Jewish culture.
Yet, most critical of all to the fulfillment of the Milstein Family Foundation’s core objective is its long-term involvement in leadership preparation for the youth. To better assist the young minds of today to reach their goals of becoming the leaders of tomorrow, the foundation offers mentoring and educational programs that aim to mentally encourage the youth to fully apply themselves to their passions in life and programs that provide career training to better assist the youth in acquiring jobs in the professional world. Moreover, from the widespread influential impact of the Milstein Family Foundation, the foundation has not only merged itself into the heart of the Jewish community, but Adam Milstein himself has too attained recognition for being one of the most beloved and top influential people leading the Jewish community.
As a real estate investor, Adam Milstein is well known among business circles, but beyond the boardroom, he is a leader with a lot of influence in the Jewish community and a recognized philanthropist. Focusing mainly on strengthening the ties between the State of Israel and the United States, Adam Milstein is the co-founder and current chairman of the Israeli-American Council. Other than that, he also sits on the boards of other pro-Israeli organizations such as the AIPAC National Council, Stand With Us and the Jewish Funders Network.
After serving under future Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in the Yom Kippur War, he went ahead to graduated Cum Laude from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics. When he came to the United States, he joined the USC(University of Southern California) and graduated with an MBA. He began his career in commercial real estate and rose to managing partner at Hager Pacific Industries, this is where he was introduced to philanthropy.
With a deep emotional and spiritual connection to his homeland, Adam Milstein is of the opinion that the younger generation of American Jews has been conditioned to believe that the Jewish culture revolves around the synagogue. Working with his wife Gila under the auspices of Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, the foundation aims to aid student and young professionals to rediscover their Jewish roots and connect with the State of Israel.
Using basic instruction principles, the foundation invests in time, effort and resources to help young Jews and other pro-Israel organizations ensure the success of projects and initiatives that touch on Israel. The foundation also offers grants to students to help run cultural events, fund coalition-building initiatives and support social media activism to help promote the Jewish culture and Zionism among its natitves who live in the US. He believes that discovering the heritage of their homeland, young Jews can find discover more about their identity.Adam Milstein believes that the Jewish community should unite to promote the growth of the State and the culture of the Jewish that goes beyond the synagogue.
