As a real estate investor, Adam Milstein is well known among business circles, but beyond the boardroom, he is a leader with a lot of influence in the Jewish community and a recognized philanthropist. Focusing mainly on strengthening the ties between the State of Israel and the United States, Adam Milstein is the co-founder and current chairman of the Israeli-American Council. Other than that, he also sits on the boards of other pro-Israeli organizations such as the AIPAC National Council, Stand With Us and the Jewish Funders Network.
After serving under future Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in the Yom Kippur War, he went ahead to graduated Cum Laude from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics. When he came to the United States, he joined the USC(University of Southern California) and graduated with an MBA. He began his career in commercial real estate and rose to managing partner at Hager Pacific Industries, this is where he was introduced to philanthropy.
With a deep emotional and spiritual connection to his homeland, Adam Milstein is of the opinion that the younger generation of American Jews has been conditioned to believe that the Jewish culture revolves around the synagogue. Working with his wife Gila under the auspices of Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation, the foundation aims to aid student and young professionals to rediscover their Jewish roots and connect with the State of Israel.
Using basic instruction principles, the foundation invests in time, effort and resources to help young Jews and other pro-Israel organizations ensure the success of projects and initiatives that touch on Israel. The foundation also offers grants to students to help run cultural events, fund coalition-building initiatives and support social media activism to help promote the Jewish culture and Zionism among its natitves who live in the US. He believes that discovering the heritage of their homeland, young Jews can find discover more about their identity.Adam Milstein believes that the Jewish community should unite to promote the growth of the State and the culture of the Jewish that goes beyond the synagogue.
